Who IS Esperanza Spalding or the question by angered Justin Beiber fans is Who does Esperanza Splading think she is (rolling neck)?

Ms. Spalding, the musical prodigy, has sparked a Twitter and Google frenzy while angering Justin Beiber fans by winning the award for Best New Artist.

By now you may have heard of Esperanza a 26-year-old jazz bassist born in Portland, Ore., "My mom is Welsh, Hispanic, and Native American, and my father is black" .

Raised by a single mother, Esperanza Spalding is a respected jazz artist, she became a professor at the prestigious Berklee School of Music, at age 20 (youngest ever faculty member).

Grammy winner for Best New Artist at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards. The gifted bassist has traveled with well known jazz musicians and performed for President Barak Obama at the White House, an opener for Prince at Madison Square Garden and the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, just to name a few.
