On Saturday, BET filmed the 4th Annual BET Honors Awards recognizing six African Americans for high achievement in education, entertainment, musical art, public service, media, and theatrical.

This year, honorees included an impressive list of six legends, among the recognized legends are: accomplished historian/educator, Lonnie G. Bunch, III (Education); Academy Award-winning actor/musician/comedian, Jamie Foxx (Entertainer); world-renowned musician/composer, Herbie Hancock (Musical Arts); supermodel/entrepreneur, Iman (Service); publishing mogul, Linda Johnson Rice (Media); and  legendary actress, Cicely Tyson (Theatrical Arts).

Held in Washington, D.C. the special aired on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 9pm. The event was held at the historic Warner Theater and hosted by acclaimed actress Gabrielle Union.
