Anything worth having is going to be a struggle. Remember, you can’t keep record and scores of old wrongs and expect to grow and become healed from your past. Negative thinking and worry actually hinder the thinking process rather than improve it. Learn to resolve future problems right away and get beyond them. Do it quickly and effectively, and you bring healing. If it’s not worth bringing up, forget about it and keep it moving. Make a commitment to yourself today to “Take Back Your Life.” Nothing teaches us more than our successes and failures. Be honest with yourself about your weaknesses and strengths. Take complete responsibility how you spend your time on the internet, telephone, shopping, unimportant tasks, texting, entertaining others, interruptions, and other distractions that will consume your days and nights. Create and make time to work on “self.” If you truly desire to change yourself and your life, then start with your mind. When we get to a place, when we turn from our problems and to His Presence, our load becomes much lighter for us.
Our compulsion to “fix” everything ourselves becomes too deep and overwhelming, which results in us giving up or turning back to sin. When the path before you is filled with difficulties, beware of measuring your strength against those challenges. Pride and ignorance is certain to overwhelm you with stress and anxiety. Without God in your life somewhere, you wouldn’t make it past the finish line nor receive your medal of valor. The only antidote to this growing problem of loss, suffering, pain and addictions in a fallen world is drawing close to God. It is in Him, that we can finally find freedom, love, happiness and peace.
Remember, failure is not the worst thing that can happen to you, not trying and wasting your entire life is. We can emotionally and physically take ourselves out of the jails we have allowed ourselves to be placed in, when we began to take ownership of our problems and weaknesses. I believe there comes a time in our lives, instead of just barely surviving or merely existing, we have to begin experiencing life without fears of failure, shame, rejection, blame, loss and learn to let go of past events and began living life again.
