Right now in this economy it seems as if it is becoming harder and harder to find a job. Once you do get that opening for an interview you have to now worry about what to wear.
Some may not realize but it does make a difference how you dress for an interview. Knowing the environment that you are interviewing in is highly relevant. If you are uncertain it is always best to dress conservatively.
Take the position that it’s always better to be overdressed than under-dressed. Also, another source to consider asking about the dress is the person who scheduled your interview.
Below is a suggestion list of what the women’s and men’s attire should consist of:
WOMEN: MEN:
Conservative Solid Color Suit Conservative Solid Color Suit
Coordinated Blouse White Long Sleeve Shirt and Conservative Tie
Light Hosiery and Moderate Shoes Dark Socks and Professional Shoes
Limited Jewelry Limited Jewelry
Neat Professional Hairstyle Neat Professional Hairstyle
Sparse Make-up and Perfume Light Aftershave
Manicured nails Trimmed Nails

Now I know that when you go for interviews for certain stores in the mall or even at restaurants you do not have to go that far. Some stores appreciate you showing off your personal style during an interview just as most restaurants prefer to you come neatly dressed. Asking questions is the best thing you can do for any interview.
You only get one chance to make a first impression. You want to show the organization that you know what style of dress it takes to fulfill the position. Build a rapport with the organization early. On top of everything else be sure to go into the interview with confidence and positivity.
