As we embark on Black History Month and celebrate our Black President, Black Leaders and all the people who made things happen for us as a people and a nation...Soul Train founder, Mr. Don Cornelius, 75 committed suicide on the morning of Feb 1 at 4:00 am in his Sherman Oaks, California home.

Don Cornelius opened so many doors for artists, dancers and he brought us all to the television as young adults to see who would be that Saturdays  music guest. We anxiously waited for "SOUL TRAIN " to come on Saturday afternoons after Dick Clark's American Bandstand.

May we remember Mr. Don Cornelius and the path he created for so many aspiring artists and dancers. RIP Don Cornelius , you made us move in ways that made us feel good, you made us bob our heads to the soulful sounds, and made our eyes become glued for an hour of entertainment. You will be truly missed. ~Mechelle B. Your Startini Report Girl on the Go!
